Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park is the most isolated Park in Uganda lying on the North-Eastern side approx. 700km from the capital city Kampala and 5km from the Eastern border of Kenya. It was gazetted in 1963 with a profusion of big game and bird life.

Kidepo covers 1,442 square kilometers of land and ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses and those who happen to visit this park can confirm that.

The Park has 2 Rivers that disappear during the dry season only leaving pools for wildlife, it’s home to 77 mammal species with a dense population of Lions, buffalos, and elephants, approx. 475 bird species with the common Ostrich, secretary bird, northern carmine bee-eater, little green bee-eater, Abyssinian scimitarbill, and many more colorful and visible species.
