Semuliki National Park
Semuliki National Park is situated in the Bundibugyo district and sprawls across the floor of the Semuliki Valley on the remote, western side of the Rwenzori. The Park is dominated by the easternmost extension of the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin.
The Park is famous for the Sempaya hot springs which are commonly referred to as Semuliki hot springs just because that’s where they are located.
The Park is home to mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes, over 435 species of birds, crocodiles, and more than 300 butterfly species.
