
Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale National Park is located in Western Uganda covering an area of 795 square kilometres and approx. 6 hours drive from the capital city. The Park is popularly known as the Primate Capital of the World with 13 different primate species and hosts over 120 other mammal species, including baboons, elephants, and antelopes.
The forest is also home to approximately 370 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics such as Nahan’s francolin, Cassin’s spinetail, blue-headed bee-eater, and lowland masked apalis.
